In this door replacement project we replaced the patio door and added a window. This was completed in one day and left the customer with nothing but interior trim to do on inside of the home that they opted to do on there own.
You can see how the exterior concrete patio was poured higher than the door jam allowing it to rot prematurely. We installed a piece of composite lumber and sealed it properly to the concrete slab before installing the door. This will keep the new door up out of the water and the basement floor dry.
We also added a window next to the door. With our combined experience in framing and siding we where able to remove the siding, install a window header to support the weight above before cutting the drywall.
Once the window and door was installed the existing siding was installed and brick molds wrapped with exterior trim coil to prevent painting and rot.
